Guests will also get to enjoy samples of a dish made by the Chefs with produce from Baby Mama Botanicals.
Chefs Paul Zerkel and Lisa Kirkpatrick are Chefs and Co-owners of Goodkind in Bay View. The couple met in the 1990s and swiftly made a name for themselves through work at local restaurants including Roots, Wolf Peach, Odd Duck and Hinterland. Inspired by their travels to Spain, Italy and Paris, along with work at restaurants in the Pacific Northwest, they’ve created an inspired restaurant that has not only bolstered the growth of the dining scene in Milwaukee, but laid the groundwork for casual, modern farm-to-table dining.
Baby Mama Botanicals is an urban farm in Milwaukee that was born from the restaurant industry. Founded by former Odd Duck employee Melisa Hanson, the farm specializes in unique varieties of vegetables, fruits, herbs and edible flowers which she delivers to local restaurants, caterers and food trucks. Hanson and her partner Mark Trinitapoli, also sell seedlings, herbs and handmade products to consumers through services like Milwaukee Farmers United, an online farmers market offering pick-up and delivery services.
